Australian BodyCare Tea Tree Products
Bacteria or fungi on the skin cause the vast majority of skin irritations. It is therefore important to choose a skincare product that is not only active and gentle on the skin but also strong enough to protect against impurities, dry skin and other everyday problem skin caused by the harsh environment. Australian Bodycare's skincare range is based on the totally natural and unique skin friendly essential oil, Tea Tree. Tea Tree is a natural antiseptic, bactericide, and fungicide with anaesthetic qualities.
Brief history
The essential oil is extracted and distilled from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree), which is indigenous to the northeastern part of New South Wales, Australia. The antibacterial qualities of tea tree oil have been known for centuries and it was the aborigine tribes who, over 200 years ago first recognised the natural healing benefits of the oil.
Since then, this amazing therapeutic oil has been used medicinally by many different generations.
100% natural product
In total there are 110 different Tea Tree species. But it is only the oil extracted from the Melaleuca alternifolia tree that contains the accurate combination of the components to create the natural essential oil that is so skin friendly. In order to be able to guarantee the quality of their pure oil, Australian Bodycare plantations are run solely on ecological principles without the use of man made fertilisers or herbicides, using instead grazing sheep to act as natural weed controllers and fertilisers. The Tea Trees are harvested when they reach about 1.8m high and after harvesting they regrow to full height within 14 months. It takes the extract from 1 tea tree to fill a 25ml bottle.
Standards of Tea Tree Oil
Australian Bodycare's oil is of the highest quality and conforms to ISO 4730 standards.
